The Puglia Jazz Factory is a collective of musicians from one of Italy’s most creative regions. Started as a special project in 2011 for a one-off date of the Roma Jazz Festival, promoted by the Fondazione Musica per Roma in collaboration with Puglia Sounds, the collective was invited in March 2012 to record an album as part of the Recording Studio event. The ensemble brings together some of the best personalities in jazz, espousing an innovative and well-defined artistic line. Through the union of distinct personalities, the group offers a multifaceted sound fueled by a common musical background that borders on pop and rock sounds. A true leaderless collective offering original compositions by all members, a new bet in Italian jazz music. The album “From The Heel” consists entirely of original songs written by the band members.
