A leading exponent of Italian jazz, Giovanni Tommaso chooses, for Parco della Musica Records, to be accompanied by the voice of his daughter Jasmine and the Tommaso Quintet(Claudio Filippini on piano, Andrea Molinari on guitar and Alex Pacho Rossy on drums). This “father and daughter” collaboration celebrates, in a jazz key, the passage of time that magically mixes past and future, new compositions and decidedly important revisits.
Jasmine graduated from South Orange County School of the Arts. He studied with Donna Mc Elroy at the Umbria Jazz Clinics, where he received a scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music summer program in Boston. She graduated summa cum laude in Theatre from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has performed at jazz festivals around the world including Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), Lucca Jazz and Selinunte Jazz Festival (Italy) and Watts Towers Jazz Festival (Los Angeles), just to name a few, accompanied by some of the greatest jazz musicians such as Stefano Bollani, Danilo Rea, John Thomas, Fabrizio Bosso, Tia Fuller and Kim Thompson (both alongside Beyoncé).
