An electronic psychedelia describes the various phases of the Apollo 11 mission, from departure to return to earth.

“Apollo 11 Reloaded” is the new concept album by Maurizio Martusciello aka Martux_m. An electronic orchestration for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, the space mission that first allowed man to set foot on the moon. The eight-track album is produced by Parco della Musica Records and supported by ASI, Italian Space Agency. An electronic psychedelia, a musical journey describing the various stages of the Apollo 11 mission, from departure with the first track “Lift Off,” to the return to earth with the last track “Return.”

Among the stops on this journey are an electronic reinterpretation of the two songs that most internalized the years of early spaceflight: Pink Floyd ‘s “Us And Them” from the legendary “The Dark Side of the Moon” and David Bowie‘s “Space Oddity.” The ‘album naturally traverses the current languages of electronic music where techno, dub and ambient are enriched with melodic psychedelia in a three-dimensional musical journey.

Important collaborations enrich the album: Giulio Maresca joins Martux_m on all electronic compositions, Danilo Rea as composer of the last track “Return” and arranger (“Us And Them” and “Space Oddity”), film composer Pasquale Catalano (“Sightseeing on the Moon”) and Francesco Bearzatti on saxophone (“Us And Them” and “Space Oddity”). The music of “Apollo 11 Reloaded” represents new, as yet unexplored sonic constellations in which the listener can glimpse the dance of a new, never-before-seen star.
