Math Box

Edited by National Research Council - Communication Unit

Our lives, scholastic and otherwise, are peppered with mathematics: this discipline can be, especially in the early years of school, a fascinating world, capable of arousing great insights and great curiosity. Growing up, however, for so many students, math becomes hostile, a source of frustration and failure. Math box is a modular container of games, tools and small exhibits designed to accompany children on their school journey of approaching, discovering and studying mathematics from the very first years of school (starting in kindergarten) through adolescence.
