Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé – “Ryuichi Sakamoto Music for Film”

Just over a year after his passing, Romaeuropa Festival pays tribute to Maestro Ryuichi Sakamoto, among the most significant and influential figures in the contemporary music scene and among the most prestigious presences in the history of the REF, through a route that connects the festival's opening week to its closing. The first of the events features the film music that made the artist famous worldwide. From "The Last Emperor." to "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence," Sakamoto 's most celebrated soundtracks have been collected by the Brussels Philharmonic with Dirk Brossé conducting in "Music for Film" the first overview of this impressive corpus approved by Sakamoto himself. On the stage of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone is precisely the prestigious orchestra, led by Brossé to retrace those compositions, an example of the genius and poetics of one of the greatest artists of our time.
