ITALIAN FOLK ORCHESTRA

The OPI Orchestra Popolare Italiana dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, directed by Ambrogio Sparagna, is a permanent instrumental group made up of performers from all regions of Italy. Founded in 2007, the ensemble has over 30 members, including singers and instrumentalists who perform on instruments typical of the folk tradition. The Orchestra is a real workshop for the promotion and reworking of musical cultures of oral tradition and is committed to the production of original programmes dedicated to regional and national repertoires.
