Ibrahim Maalouf

"A Few Melodies"

A trumpet virtuoso, that is how the international press frames the prestigious figure of Ibrahim Maalouf. His music is distinguished by a creative fusion of genres that, for the past decade, has earned him the record for being the first jazz musician in history to have sold out the most prestigious French concert halls.

Born in Beirut in 1980, Ibrahim Maalouf is internationally recognized as the most popular instrumentalist on the French music scene. During his career he has received two Victoires du Jazz for best world music album and musical performance and two Victoires de la Musique for concert of the year. These awards made him the first musician to receive this recognition in the 33-year history of these awards. Not only musical awards: Ibrahim has also received honors from the French government as a Chevalier of the National Order of Merit and Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters. Over the years, he has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the world music industry such as Sting, Marcus Miller, and Melody Gardot.
