The Association of Parks and Gardens of Italy (APGI) proposes that all Italian gardens join the "Appointment in the Garden" initiative scheduled for Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4, 2023, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the National Association of Italian Municipalities (APGI). The event, designed as a true 'garden festival,' was created in accordance with the "Rendez-vous aux jardins" initiative, which will take place simultaneously in more than twenty European countries.

The theme of the 2023 edition is" The Musics of the Garden." The garden is a soundscape that has fascinated artists and musicians of all times, inspiring memorable compositions. Verzura theaters have hosted sonatas and pastorals; more recently the garden has opened up to new experiments with sound installations and sculptures. Rhythms and geometries, aesthetic suggestions and philosophical references link music to the garden, arts of time and space.

The Valerio De Simoni Association, which has been curating the Organic Garden "on the Roof of Music" within the Hanging Gardens of the Auditorium for more than a decade, is participating in the initiative with a concert of Persian classical music by three established musicians. Singer Ghazal Ansarirad will be joined by Rehza Mohsenipour on the tar (six-stringed instrument similar to the lute) and Hamid Mohsenipour on the tombak (goblet-shaped percussion instrument). It will be an opportunity to visit the six small cultivated plots, at the full developmental stage of growing vegetables, flowers and herbs.
