Science journalist and nonfiction editor for Codice Editions. A biologist by training, he teaches storytelling and science communication at SISSA in Trieste and the University of Pavia, and has a column on science and storytelling in "Le Scienze." He is scientific coordinator of the Rome Science Festival and a jury member of the Lucca Comics & Games Role-Playing Game of the Year Award. He wrote the essay "Enchantment. Stories of Dragons, Sorcerers and Scientists" (Code Editions, 2019), where he explores the relationship between science and fantasy in literature, film, games and comics.
