Professor Emeritus of Science and Technology at ETH Zurich, founding member and former president of the European Research Council, has held teaching and research positions at universities and research institutes in several European countries. He has also received numerous honorary doctorates from Oxford University and the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. His latest publication God's machines. Predictive algorithms and the illusion of control, was published in Italy by LUISS University Press in May 2022.
