Internationally renowned composer and conductor. He founded the contemporary music ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi. Intense activity as a writer as well. His eighth book entitled "Battiato. Café Table Musik" was published in May 2022 by La Nave di Teseo. Since 2017, he has been the Artistic Director of the Concerts of the Scuola Normale di Pisa.
