Benjamin Clementine

Benjamin Clementine describes himself as an artist whose music is only one element of his creative journey, as evidenced by his acting debut as Herald of the Change in Denis Villeneuve's Oscar-winning film "Dune." Growing up in North London, he experienced the life of a street performer during his teenage years. He quickly became a cult figure in the British music scene, debuting in 2013 on a BBC Later with Jools Holland program. The lucky encounter in Cannes with Lionel Bensemoun leads to the birth of the Behind label and its debut in 2015 with the album "At Least For Now," earning Mercury and Victoires de la Musique, the French Grammys, debuting in the Top10 on iTunes in Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Greece and Poland. In 2017 he announced his second studio album "I Tell a Fly," anticipated by the track "Phantom of Aleppoville," in which he talks about the bullying incidents he experienced firsthand. In 2020 he released the song "Calm Down" and made his film debut as an actor in Denis Villeneuve's film "Dune."
