Antonio Zoccoli

President of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, he is professor of physics at the University of Bologna. He conducts research in fundamental, nuclear and subnuclear physics and has been a member of several international collaborations, including ATLAS at CERN, which together with the CMS collaboration announced the first observation of the Higgs boson in 2012. Since 2022, he has been president of the ICSC Foundation, which runs the National Research Center for High Performance Computing, Big Data and Quantum Computing.
