In it we feel the typical wave of <strong>Franco D<\/strong>&#8216;Andrea&#8217;s concerts: thanks to the great familiarity that <strong>D&#8217;Andrea<\/strong> has with his musicians and that they have with his jazz music, everything happens in a logical, spontaneous sequence along one broad narrative arc. &#8220;Intervals I,&#8221; goes even further, is the culmination of a decades-long quest that produces not answers, but new questions and new explorations each time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Intervals I&#8221; encapsulates in one coherent and unified sound world the many worlds visited by <strong>Franco D&#8217;Andrea<\/strong> over the course of his long career. Worlds sometimes seldom visited , such as electronics, but remained in memory. It is revealing that the outcome of so much traveling is a close investigation of the smallest element of musical organization: the interval. It is minimal element capable, both harmonically and melodically, to characterize and direct the sonority of a piece.
