{"id":4999,"date":"2021-03-20T15:27:07","date_gmt":"2021-03-20T14:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.auditorium.com\/productions\/future-memories\/"},"modified":"2021-03-20T15:27:07","modified_gmt":"2021-03-20T14:27:07","slug":"future-memories","status":"publish","type":"productions","link":"https:\/\/www.auditorium.com\/en\/productions\/future-memories\/","title":{"rendered":"Future Memories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Paolo Damiani<\/strong> created a new band including some of the most distinguished soloists on the international scene and recorded a new jazz album for Parco della Musica Records, &#8220;Memorie Future.&#8221; The compositions, signed by each member of the group, represent a solid sailing ship, or at worst a life preserver, improvisation is the voyage on the open sea: one can decide on routes and landings or choose the way of escape into the world of imagination. Escape from normality and madness, into creation and into the unconscious, bodies breathing in unison in the movement of sound, in listening. We open ourselves to play and the unexpected, to what <strong>Daniel Pennac<\/strong> calls hasard, chance, risk: that is &#8211; according to the brilliant French writer &#8211; the main protagonist of any self-respecting tale.<\/p>\n<p>The repertoire includes new compositions and some historical pieces by the Roman double bassist, reinterpreted at a distance of time: repetition, all the more so in jazz music, is never duplication, representing rather the emergence of unknown aspects, a kind of memory of the future, in the experience of a shared time. Parco della Musica Records continues to accompany the artistic research of the composer, conductor, double bassist and cellist, teacher, artistic director, architect  <strong>Paolo Damiani<\/strong> who has collaborated with some of the world&#8217;s most prestigious musicians including.  <strong>Pat Metheny<\/strong>,  <strong>Kenny Wheeler<\/strong>,  <strong>Albert Mangelsdorff<\/strong>,  <strong>Billy Higgins<\/strong>,  <strong>Charlie<\/strong> <strong>Mariano<\/strong>,  <strong>Antony Braxton<\/strong>,  <strong>Cecil Taylor<\/strong>,  <strong>Gianluigi Trovesi<\/strong>,  <strong>Trilok Gurtu<\/strong>,  <strong>Miroslav Vitous<\/strong>,  <strong>Phillips bars<\/strong>,  <strong>Tony<\/strong> <strong>Oxley<\/strong>, <strong> John Surman<\/strong>,  <strong>Enrico Rava<\/strong>,  <strong>Anouar Brahem<\/strong>,  <strong>Marc Ducret<\/strong>,  <strong>Louis Sclavis<\/strong>,  <strong>Fran\u00e7ois Jeanneau<\/strong>,  <strong>Giancarlo<\/strong> <strong>Schiaffini<\/strong>, <strong>Paolo Fresu<\/strong>, <strong>Pino Minafra<\/strong> and <strong>Giorgio Gaslini<\/strong> with whom he made his professional debut in 1976.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1978 he has been conducting his own ensembles with which he has participated in the most important festivals in the world, playing in Paris, London, Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin, Warsaw, New Dehli, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Istanbul, Rabat, Cologne, Frankfurt, Seville, Porto, Le Mans, Grenoble, and Zurich, among others, as well as in the most important Italian
