He will be joined on stage by<strong> Fredy Malfi<\/strong> (drums), <strong>Rino Calabritto<\/strong> (bass) and <strong>Alessio Busanca<\/strong> (keyboards).  <\/p>\n<p>The Neapolitan saxophonist, born in 1945, has been on the scene for more than 50 years: an artistic icon who, from the height of his 77 years, is still a reference point for new musical generations who want expressive urgency and zero compromise. In more than half a century of his career, Senese has crossed genres, eras, and fashions, never allowing himself to be corrupted in the name of the market. His idols are the great jazz musicians Miles Davis and John Coltrane. His granitic artistic and intellectual consistency are as famous as the sound of his sax.  <\/p>\n<p>Passing through the seminal Showmen with Mario Musella, Napoli Centrale and collaborations with the unforgettable friend Pino Daniele but also the artistic and fraternal fellowship that linked him to Franco Del Prete, James Senese has played and sung the vanquished, those who never had a voice. He gave it to them, with the energy and anger of his sax and voice, which have distinguished his production, made of courage and determination: that of a &#8220;Half-Black.&#8221; In June 2021, the docufilm &#8220;JAMES,&#8221; directed by director Andrea della Monica, was presented at the &#8220;Venice Days&#8221; of the 77th Venice International Film Festival, within which a portrait of the artist after fifty years of his career is returned to the public, tracing the fulcrum of his artistic path in the formation of the band Napoli Centrale in the early 1970s and stretching an ideal bridge with the present to investigate the more recent evolution of that musical project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"James Senese returns to the Auditorium to sing the
