{"id":4708,"date":"2023-01-18T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.auditorium.com\/event\/raiz-auditoriumband\/"},"modified":"2023-03-27T09:45:57","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T08:45:57","slug":"raiz-auditoriumband","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.auditorium.com\/en\/event\/raiz-auditoriumband\/","title":{"rendered":"Raiz &amp; AuditoriumBand"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>LECHAIM, MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>For Holocaust Remembrance Day 2023, the Fondazione Musica per Roma will offer an original production by<strong> AuditoriumBand<\/strong>, which, together with singer <strong>Raiz<\/strong>, tackles musical material with direct relevance to the theme of the Shoah and discrimination in general, as well as pieces composed by contemporary Jewish-born artists. The idea, starting with the band&#8217;s essential lineup, is that of a renewed approach to the theme. The intense moment of remembrance is then followed by a proper toast &#8220;to Life.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The rock music quartet rereads a sample of the huge part of our culture that would not have come to light if the Holocaust design had come to fruition. The project of the Auditorium Band, one of the Auditorium&#8217;s resident orchestras produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma already in its title &#8220;Lechaim,&#8221; meaning &#8220;to Life,&#8221; wants to celebrate the anniversary with a concert that moves on different narrative planes. The first is that of songs, by authors of Jewish and non-Jewish extraction, most closely related to the Shoah:  <strong>Dylan, Cohen, Guccini , Battiato, Joy Division,<\/strong>  but also  <strong>Hannah Senesh<\/strong>, a young war heroine author of poignant verse, or the striking country blues version that  <strong>Mark Rubin<\/strong>  makes such classics as &#8220;Es Brent&#8221; and &#8220;It&#8217;s Burning&#8221; a testament to a cosmopolitan culture that knows how to hybridize and survive in all conditions. The second plan is the persecution of all minorities; and here we find <strong>De Andr\u00e9 <\/strong>and<strong> The Indigo Girls<\/strong> among others.
