After years of waiting, six-string virtuoso duo Rodrigo y Gabriela arrive Oct. 2 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone to present their new album “In Between Thoughts… A New World.” Rodrigo y Gabriela grew up with an eclectic mix of classic rock, heavy metal, a rather rare alchemy of influences that inspires their work. Shortly after their first band disbanded, the two musicians harnessed acoustic guitars and arrived in Ireland, where they ran out of funds and found themselves forced to busk on Grafton Street in Dublin. This sudden turn of events caused them to cross paths with Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice, whose first headlining show they opened.
