This album  is a selection of pieces played live at the 2005 edition of The Night of the Taranta, a rich and varied repertoire of songs rooted in the cultural traditions of the Salento region. The music has been reworked by Ambrogio Sparagna and adapted for performance by the Orchestra Popolare La Notte della Taranta: an ambitious and innovative project that is the result of a sophisticated interplay between sung verse and rhythmic energy.
