Parco della Musica Records, the Musica per Roma Foundation’s record label, was created with the aim of introducing a larger public to the best concert performances held at the Auditorium or made by musicians with very close ties to the venue. Since the first recordings came out in 2004, on the occasion of the Festival of the Mediterranean, the label has produced several important live concert recordings that constitute a veritable laboratory of creativity in sound. The editorial policy of Parco della Musica Records, therefore, is along the same lines as the search for and selection of sounds that go into the Auditorium’s concert programming. At regular intervals, the releases will span the entire season arranged by the Musica per Roma Foundation, and will be divided into series such as PMJO – Parco della Musica Jazz Orchestra, Special Events, Italian Ethnic Music, Electronic Music and A Solo. The publication of a glossy catalogue will serve to consolidate the role of the Musica per Roma Foundation in the exploration of music in all its expressive forms. CDs are on sale at Notebook, the Auditorium bookshop, and at leading Italian music stores.
