MARCO CONTI
Tenor and soprano saxophonist, clarinet and flute. He studied at the Licinio Refice Conservatory in Frosinone with the conductor Baldo Maestri. He has worked for the stage and television and in the field of pop music since the late ‘70s. He plays at the main clubs and festivals and collaborates with numerous Italian and foreign jazz musicians. Since the late ‘70s he has worked intensively with bib bands as well, starting with Alberto Corvini’s orchestra and then with M. Nunzi’s Trombe rosse, B. Biriaco’s big band, Mario Raja’s big band, T. Vittorini’s Elisea Big Band and the Iodice-Corvini Roma Jazz Ensemble. Currently he works with the PMJO, the Etruria criminale banda, the Orchestra mediterranea, the Quattro Venti Saxophones Quartet and the improvised music trio Triotherapy. He also teaches at the Scuola popolare Donna Olimpia.
