LUCA PIROZZI


He plays the electric bass and double bass. An eclectic musician, he is active in a variety of fields: concert performance, teaching and recording. He has collaborated and recorded with: Enrico Rava, Roberto Gatto, Maurizio Giammarco, Area Z, Massimo Urbani, Kenny Wheeler, Mick Goodrick, George Garzone, Rick Margitza, Flavio Boltro, Stefano Di Battista, Paul McCandless, Lutte Berg, Eddie Henderson, Mike Stern, Dick Oatts, Jean Paul Ceccarelli, Tankio Band, Lucio Dalla, Gianni Morandi and Mina. Currently, among his other collaborations, he is part of consolidated projects that include the Luca Pirozzi Quintet, Bass Instinct, Alessandro Gwis Trio, the Pino Iodice Project, the Lutte Berg Ensemble and the PMJO – Parco della Musica Orchestra. A teacher at the Scuola Percento Musica in Rome, he has also taught at the Saint Louis Music Academy, the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio and the Università della Musica.
