GIANCARLO CIMINELLI


A trumpet player, he completed his studies at the Berklee Clinics. His professional career started in the late 80s, when he worked with numerous bands, ranging from salsa to latin jazz, from jazz to pop, and from television programmes to theatre. He has collaborated with Diapason & Tito Puente, Cheo Feliciano, Celia Cruz, José Feliciano and Mercado Negro. He has worked with many big bands, both in the sections and as a soloist. He has participated in a variety of jazz festivals and played alongside Italian and foreign jazz musicians. With his Jazz noise 4tet he made the CD “Potus,” and he has made a number of CDs with the Electricity Quintet and the Tankio Band. He has also worked for stage and television, taking part in both RAI and Mediaset television productions. In the field of pop music he has worked with Alex Baroni, Marina Rei, and Io Vorrei La Pelle Nera.
