ELVIO GHIGLIORDINI
He was born in Charleroi in Belgium. He obtained his diploma in flute in Rovigo and in jazz music in Perugia. As a flutist and baritone player he has participated in numerous jazz festivals all over the world (Montreal, Ottawa, Washington, Sydney and Montreux) and played with artists such as Yusef Latef, Ray Mantilla, Marco Siniscalco, Javier Girotto, Maurizio Giammarco and Nicola Stilo. A musician profoundly sensitive to latin influences, he can boast collaborations with Dave Valentin, Celia Cruz, Horacio Hernandez, Giovani Hildalgo and Jesus Alemani. He has played in orchestras conducted by Gianni Ferrio, Armando Trovajoli, Pippo Caruso and Demo Morselli, and he has accompanied well-known artists such as Eumir Deoclato, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Amil Stewart and Johnny Dorelli. As leader he has recorded two CDs: “Fluttin on jazz” and “AlterAbile.” |
