The Musica per Roma Foundation has no less than four orchestras playing different musical genres: the PMJO Parco della Musica Jazz Orchestra brings together the most important Italian jazz soloists; the OPI Orchestra Popolare Italiana, directed by Ambrogio Sparagna, focuses on Italian folk music; the PMJL Parco della Musica Jazz Lab is an orchestra formed by young jazz talents and led by Enrico Rava; the PMCE Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble, an orchestra set up for the Contemporanea festival, is an open ensemble exploring contemporary classical music, with inroads into other genres. These orchestras have performed in a range of important festivals in countries such as: Mexico, Argentina, China, Spain, France, Germany, Britain, Russia, Norway and Pakistan.
