Aurelio Regina was appointed President of the Musica per Roma Foundation on 12 January 2011.

Since 1 January 2011, Aurelio Regina has been the President of Unindustria –  a large regional association part of Confindustria (the Italian Manufacturers' Association) and representing companies from Rome, Frosinone, Rieti and Viterbo – with ad interim responsibilities for social affairs and internationalization. He is the Chairman and a shareholder of Manifatture Sigaro Toscano, the company producing the most famous Italian cigar in the world. He was also the promoter of the consortium that brought the memorable 'Made in Italy' label back into Italian hands.

Aurelio Regina is a partner of Egon Zehnder International – world leader in the sector of high-level executive search – and the Chairman of Credit Suisse Italy SpA, which is responsible for the private banking and asset management activities of the Swiss group in Italy.

Born in Foggia in 1963, Aurelio Regina is married and has three children. After graduating with first-class honours in Political Science from the Free International University of Social Studies in Rome, he was assistant lecturer in Methods for the Resolution of International Conflicts, as well as in Global Strategies, at the Italian Army's School of Warfare (Scuola di Guerra). In 1986 he was appointed assistant of the U.N. Vice-Secretary General Giandomenico Picco for Middle-eastern affairs.

In 1988 he joined Procter & Gamble Italia, becoming Manager of Communications and Relations with Public Institutions and Legislative Studies. In this period he also received a Master's degree in Science and Methods of Legislation (Scienza e Tecnica della Legislazione) from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Legislativi, and a Master's degree in Advanced Finance from the INSEAD of Fontainebleau. At the age of 27, he became the youngest Italian corporate executive.

After leaving  Procter & Gamble, he joined Philip Morris. In 1991 he was appointed Director of Corporate Affairs in Italy for the Philip Morris Companies group and then Managing Director of the Italian branch of Philip Morris Corporate Services Inc., as well as Managing Director of Philip Morris Ltd. In these years he contributed to vastly expanding the company – active worldwide in the food and tobacco sectors – in Italy.

In April 2010 he became a board member of the publishing group Il Sole 24 Ore. He is the Vice President of the Centro Studi Americani and a board member of Aspen Institute Italia. Since November 2009, he has been the Executive Vice President of OPCE – an association that brings together companies from the main European capitals – with responsibilities for development and the broadening of representation.
